Can a Customer Make the Red Drink at Home?

If it’s too cold for you to go out and brave the ice and snow to visit a Starbucks, we understand. Sometimes our cozy bed is just too warm for us to leave, no matter what kind of delicious temptation awaits us if we go out.

But, if you buy all the ingredients beforehand or you use Instacart or Walmart delivery, you can make the Red Drink in the comfort of your home.

Here are the ingredients you need:

  • Passion tea – hot or iced
  • Dried strawberry pieces
  • A package of regular strawberries
  • Sweetened coconut milk. Make sure it isn’t vanilla flavored
  • Ice
  • Agave syrup

First, make the Passion Tango tea. You can either make hot Passion Tango Tea with hot water and then allow it to cool or make the iced passion Tango Tea as per instructions. Once the hot tea has cooled to room temperature, set it aside.

Now, make the strawberry puree. Grab four or five strawberries, wash them, slice off the top parts, then remove the green leaves. Dice them as small as you can. Then place the diced pieces into a bowl and squish the strawberries until it looks like puree. Do this by placing a Ziploc bag on your hand which has been clenched into a fist, and pressing down all the strawberries.

If you have a mini blender, there is also the option of placing the strawberries in the mini blender and blending them to create a strawberry parade. If you only have a large blender, then it may not be worth making such a big mess for only four to five strawberries.

Scoop the strawberry puree into the passion tea, then add two to three tablespoons of agave syrup and ½ cup of coconut milk. After that, add the dried strawberry bits and ice.

Place the lid on the cup and shake the cup vigorously 10 times. Open the lid, place the straw in the cup, and enjoy.
